Volunteer with Four Mile!
Volunteers are an integral part of Four Mile Historic Park, and help to fulfil the mission in many ways. From educational programs and events to grounds maintenance, Four Mile’s volunteer team enhances the park every day!

Have sew much fun quilting! Help to repair, preserve, and create sewing and quilting projects for the Park!
Enjoy “kid-ding” around! Come be a big kid and help out with fieldtrips, birthday parties, and outreach programs. Volunteers are especially needed for the Park’s Wagon Wheels field trip program in the Spring!
Bring History to life! Lead tours, or demonstrate your 19th-century skills at the park! Volunteers in these positions are welcome to dress up in period-accurate clothing.
Come celebrate with Four Mile! Help the Park’s team make events special by helping with event setup, activity stations, event teardown, and more!

From delivering tours of the Historic Four Mile House, to demonstrating blacksmithing or domestic arts (knitting, sewing, weaving, etc.), to creating seasonal recipes in the Summer Kitchen, your volunteer time brings 1800s Colorado into the 21st Century!
Volunteer for Wagon Wheels
Come join Four Mile Historic Park during the most popular field trip series of the year, Wagon Wheels! This series runs Mondays through Thursdays 9:30 am- 12:30 pm, from 4/20/26- 5/23/26. This year, the Park has three volunteer opportunities, helping out with the Prairie walk program, the weaving program, or the Gold Panning and Games program. Volunteers must attend Wagon Wheels training on April 8th or schedule alternate training before registration.
